I have to admit ... being a fan of Nobuo Uematsu & Final Fantasy, I have not followed their updates till recently. I'm so excited to receive news from http://www.ffdistantworlds.com/ that the long awaited album, "Distant Worlds" is now available to listen for free at above website. The album is yet for sale tho. Furthermore, it was announced "Earthbound Papas" is Nobuo Uematsu's New Band Project. Overjoyed! ~ ^^♥

Furthermore, the release of "Cellytheme" Album has been great news to me. Never imagine they would release Final Fantasy songs purely played by Cello only. Very unique to me. This album consist of 6 tracks: (1) Battle Theme, (2) Clash on the Big Bridge, (3) Eleanor Rigby, (4) Immigrant Song, (5) Land of Hope and Glory, (6) Those Who Fight Further (FF7). Track # 6 being my favourite, what else! Heehee...

Dog Ear Records Studio has also released another album called "PIA-COM", last year Q4. After listening to the tracks, I recalled they are from some old Nintendo games. Very classic huh. And lastly, another album written by Nobuo Uematsu himself, "Nobuo Uematsu's 10 Short Stories". Unique name. It's related to 50 anniversary album. One of the websites mentioned track "Coconut Castaway" is Nobuo's first composed track.

Lastly, this cute Chibi Megurine Luka. Compare to her original appearance, it's a huge difference! Spent about B$ 60 just for this, inclusive of EMS shipping with 50% off. Imagine without discount, I would have spent about B$ 75~80! Lucky me! She is double the size of my mobile. Guess not so bad <3 . Her hair is kinda "heavy" that there is a support specially to hold her hair.

So... What you think? Money well-spent? Hmm...

Petting Siamese Fighting Fish was one of my favourite hobbies in my early twenties.

Bought a few of them but they lived short, average 2 years. Their lifespan is suppose to be approx 2~4/5 yrs. Manage to capture few photos of them. Apology for low quality pictures (only had lousy mobile in the early days).

^^ And I named them ...
(Photos from top to bottom) : Alpha >> Beta >> Charlie >> Omega
Alpha and Beta is the first male batch. They died early, near to 2 yrs. Suspect is the incoming water with high chlorine content as I only use tap water, per the shop keeper :(

Charlie was bought later. She has short tail and fin, thus a female. Her colour facinates me - white plus slight pinkish - a very nice combination. This had been my top favourite. Died after about 2 yrs I bought her. Unfortuntely never manage to find the same colour again in any shop :(

Last picture of this photo-column is Omega. She was my second favourite.

Photos from (L) to (R) : Omega (male) and Epsilon (female) was the last batch. Epsilon is almost colourless / transparent which can see thru his internal organs easily. Both died within the same week but they had managed to lived near to 3 yrs! Causes unknown. Not sure if it's the water again. It started with no appetite and less aggressive :(

As of today, not rearing any fighting fish. Shop only has very common bluish / reddish color ><

Below are some fishes from my uncle house aquarium. They used to have a lot than just these. I remembered a bath-tub full of colourful guppies.

Looking at the fish can sometimes calm one's mind & soul ... at least that's how I feel.

These are the Egg Shaped Kitten Swings & Meows Tumble Dolls from Strapya-World. It comes with two different meowing sounds. [Left to Right : Sleepy Peach / Orange]. I bought the Peach early on. And received the Orange ones yesterday. Very cawaii indeed.

Time for Monster Hunting !

Yup. You read it right.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is one of the games that I have been busy with my PSP these recent months. Heard it's very popular in Japan. Japan players actually gather and meet-up for multiplayer quests. Pretty amazing.

At first, I have been reluctant to play ever since a friend intro and urge. I find the chara movement is a bit slow and hard to control in the early Monster Hunter (MH - Part 1 & 2).

I finally gave in. Reasons due to ... got motivated by the anime "Gintama" which shows the parody of Monster Hunter from episode 121 to 124. Haha XD. Of course, that's not my only reason. I also find improvement in the Freedom Unite where my chara is now able to move better and quicker response time . Thus, addicted to it. Not a good player still but slowly move on with tough quests. (Urgh... looks like my chara still sucks!)

Our best loveable Mascots in these Monster Hunter Series are the Pugi (Piggie) and Felynes (Neko). Cute and funny as always.

I actually found one nice & cute MH PSP theme. Get here. You won't regret downloading it.

Way before knowing this game popularity, my colleague and I have noticed the Merchandise of this small cute MH Pugi figure. Thus, we bought one each for ourselves at random pick from Play-Asia. These are what we got by luck ^^

Play-Asia has quite a few Merchandise for MH now. Couple of months ago, I've pre-ordered one Monster Hunter Pugi Plush Doll (by Banpresto) releasing in Nov-09. Can't wait to get them! (You will know which I choose later or sooner ^^)

Below is another mini MH keychain (looks like Sushi Chef <3 ) that I bought from Singapore in Sept-09 for about SGD 6.90. Quite pricey for its mini size.

And now I'm very tempted to buy its Mascot Stamp Keychain. The printed stamps chop are quite cute. Oh gosh... Should I buy? (~.~;;)

I received my orders (Cloud & Sora only) in late Aug-09. The keychain chara is about 3.5 cm in size. The real thing is similar as seen online. Colouring & quality are quite satisfactory.

Now they are releasing more other charas!

Like my friend quoted, "This is the first time we see Sephiroth in cute version! LOL". I have to agreed with her. I'm quite disappointed with Vivi looks tho. Not very cute to me ...

FF Anniversary ~ The Beginning of Tranquility

Yay! Finally finished the game today \\(^_^)//

(*-*) "Restored the four crystals to grace! Banished all devils back to hell. Once again, peace & light upon the World"

The ending ... was not that great ... I don't expect much from the first series of Final Fantasy after all. But the main chara, LEO looks awfully handsome in the remake CG (♥.♥)

But in the game, he looks like this. Cute in a way? LOL... Big difference huh.

Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition ~ Back to the Classic !

My friends just wouldn't believe me when I said I've started gaming FF 1 remake, which is the 20th Anniversary Version in PSP console. They know me well that I judge & choose my games in terms of graphics and battle style but ... It's Final Fantasy in Remake Edition?! Why wouldn't I? I myself actually surprise too and gradually got addicted to it.

This game is very well remake. The graphics have improved a lot compared to the original game released in NES & later Gameboy Advance & today in PSP <3

Believe most Square Enix or Final Fantasy fans have heard of Kingdom Hearts Series. Kingdom Hearts are action role-playing games (RPG) where chara from Final Fantasy Series & Disney combined. Quite fascinating to have 2 different world of chara getting team-up.

Unfortunately, I myself did not play the game (coz of the intolerable … continuous … annoying … quacking by Donald Duck -_-;;). I have read the Manga though… The storyline, chara, battle style, etc … all looks good to me. I especially love their figures. Not to mention the attractive Final Fantasy Chara of Kingdom Hearts Version.

Which would be your favourite Disney Characters? For me is Mickey! The King of Disney. His disappearance & re-appearances make his chara so mysterious.

Finally, a new SE flip phone! I have always been waiting and waiting for the right SE flip phone to buy. But too bad, flip phones are not so popular nowadays... Hard to find one that I really like.

Till few weeks ago, while checking at gsmarena.com, I saw this phone which is yet to release. The specs aren't so bad (unless you are comparing with IPHONE!). To me, the downsides are no WIFI & nil camera autofocus.

After deep thoughts, my brother finally bought one ITOUCH! But after discussion, I volunteer to share the cost with him... Afterall, he's not working yet. .... Meaning.... another gadget I spent on this year!!! -_________-

But it's worth the price. The gadget is amazing, eventhough I have yet to fully utilize the functions.

So I guess IPHONE has far more greater functions than this. So does cost-wise! As far as I know, ITOUCH seems to have everything except phone function & camera comparing with IPHONE.

Hmmmm.... does B$ 1.3k IPHONE worth the price?

Guess whose birthday falls on 28th May?

Not to mention, it concidentally falls on 28th May which is also the Chinese "Dumpling Festival" this year - also known as Duanwu Festival. This festival is usually celebrated by eating dumpling, throwing dumpling to the sea to commemorate Qu Yuan & follow by the Dragon Boat Festival. Of coz, we do not have any Dragon Boat Festival in Brunei. And this year, I only manage to eat ONE! dumpling. Oh gosh...

Believe Final Fantasy fans out there have heard of this book - Cloud Vol.1 Dengeki.

And with the cover page is our favourite hero, Cloud Strife, I bought it straightaway from Miri. Unfortunately it might not be 100% original. Anyway ... ...

This 122-pages book including a DVD was released on 21-Dec-2007 by Dengeki *, focusing on our hero in the games he's featuring in. In other words, the book contains the full compilation of Final Fantasy 7 and introducing the new series Final Fantasy XIII, Dissidia and more of other games.

I bet everyone has heard of this popular Day before. Bad news to us, it's not a public holiday but most countries do celebrate this day by getting fooled or you playing a prank on others.

My Country, Brunei has joined this Lights Off Campaign this year scheduled on 28-Mar-09 at 2000 hrs, local time. I'm glad and proud that my Country is participating. See article in our e-Newspapers.

The Do's & Dont's in the World of Feng Shui - Part (I)

Feng Shui is a Chinese word which means "wind" and "water" in English. Traditionally, it played an important role in the positive and negative life force. With such, one's can actually improve the their positive life force with the correct approach. It involves the 5 elements, i.e.: water / fire / wood / metal / earth which are so-called as Yin-Yang.

In this post of Part (I), I'm going to stress Office Feng Shui as most of us are staying longer hours in office rather than in any other places.

Website # 1

Do sit in the corner farthest from the entrance to the room to have a “command” position.
Do put your computer in the North or West area of your office to enhance your creativity. You may place your computer in the Southeast if you use it to generate income.
Do place an aquarium or tabletop fountain in the East, North, or Southeast. A small aquarium with black or blue fish in the North area of your desk or office will activate your business & career success. Guppies or a single arrowana are ideal for an aquarium made of glass & metal.
Do keep your back toward a corner or a wall for support. If a post protrudes from the corner or wall, correct it by covering it with a hanging plant’s draping foliage.
Do have a good balance of yin and yang when decorating your workspace. Balance light & dark colors, soft & hard surfaces, and smooth & rough textures in your choice of window treatments, furniture & flooring.
Do treat the files in your office with respect. They represent your past, present & future business.
Do keep the cords to your office equipment well hidden. This elimate clutter and allows for the free flow of chi.
Don't sit inline with the door, as you will be in the path of negative energy.
Don't arrange your workspace so that you look straight out into a corridor or see the stairs, storage rooms, closets, elevators, escalators, or toilets.
Don't place any mirrors in your office, as they can reflect negative energy from clients to other people in the room. You should always maintain control over the energy in your office.

Your office must be organized & arranged efficiently. Clutter according to Feng Shui stimulates negative Chi (energy) and should be kept to a minimum. Remove whatever extraneous materials are lying in your office. By clearing away the physical clutter that you have been confronting on a daily basis, you free up your mental, emotional burden & feel light, cheerful & optimistic in your reinvigorated working space.

Position of the desk
Keep your desk in the commanding position. The commanding position means a position of power, where you have a direct view of the door, a pleasant view out the window and a wall behind you for stability. This position of the desk according to the Feng Shui office offers you the maximum control.

Shape of your desk
Shape of your desk can affect your mood and level of productivity in the workplace. Rounded curves are flowing, encouraging the flow of creativity. A kidney-shaped desk follows the natural curves of the human body and is said to give you a subconscious feeling of inner alignment.
Placing the plants
Place plants in your work & help you stay connected to the natural world. Since the green color spurs creativity & new ideas it helps you to have creative element in the office. In Feng Shui practice keeping plants helps to have positive Chi flow in corners which other wise are neglected spaces devoid of any energy. Green plants also act as a filtering system, reducing toxins and circulating stagnant air.
Choosing the correct light
The best light is natural daylight, so move your desk close to a window but never have your desk directly in front of window or fluorescent lights that cast a glare, causing eyestrain & exhaustion. You may improve your mood & energy dramatically by replacing fluorescent lights with warm lights that don’t cast a glare.

Use of Feng Shui Colors
Making use of Feng Shui Colors can help you achieve balance in your office. Different colors have different properties some colors can help people feel grounded and secure. Blues, purples or reds are supposed to enhance the wealth & prosperity area of your office.

Do -- Have a clear view of the entrance from your work station. This will lend a sense of security that enables you to concentrate. A clear view of the door will also help you spot career opportunities that you'd otherwise miss. If you can't move your desk, position a mirror to reflect the entrance door.
Do -- Define your personal area. Placing a small mat or area rug at the entrance of your work space will inhibit people from walking in unannounced. This is an especially good cure if you work in a cubicle. If you have your own office, hang a pleasant-sounding bell from the door to alert you to visitors.
Do -- Put symbols of future goals above your eye level. If you want a promotion, put a tall plant on top of a bookcase or file cabinet. To reach a sales goal, write your target number in red marker on a green piece of paper, and post it over the door. Looking for a new job? Post something that symbolizes this desire directly across from your work station, just above your line of vision.
Do -- Build trust by integrating organic materials into your work space. Wicker baskets, wooden paper trays, crystal paperweights, ceramic mugs and potted plants will encourage people to let down their guard with you. That's because representations of nature are extremely reassuring in a business environment.
Do -- Draw attention to your achievements. Frame any diplomas, certificate or awards and place them in the far left corner of your office. If you're not able to display such items in your work station, install a high-watt light bulb in your desk lamp. Better yet, get a floor lamp that casts light up toward the ceiling. This will increase your visibility in the workplace. Lighting a red candle at your desk each day can help, too.

Don't -- Face a wall while you work. Working this way could result in a dead-end job. If you can't reposition yourself, hang a picture that affords a depth view at eye level. A scene of a winding road or river that features near and far objects will help you move forward toward your career objectives.
Don't -- Let items pile up on the floor. This will keep you stuck in the past, making it hard to meet deadlines or finish ongoing projects. Store materials that you regularly use in easily accessible file cabinets, bins and boxes. Keep a portfolio of work samples in a place where it won't impede your daily work. Finally, sort through your papers once a month and discard unnecessary materials.
Don't -- Let a bad work chair undermine your performance. If your company won't pay for a better seat, it's worth paying out of pocket for one. Choose a chair that is high enough to support your upper back. The height of your chair should allow you to place your hands on the desk at a 90-degree angle while your feet rest flat on the floor. If your work requires creativity, choose a chair that allows you to recline.
Don't -- Become distanced from your dreams. If your job doesn't bear any relation to the work you really want to do, incorporate water into your office. This can include an indoor fountain, a noise machine that replicates the sound of running water, or a picture of a moving body of water. Water features keep you tuned into your innermost desires, encouraging you to take steps toward your ultimate career goals.
Don't -- Let items pile up on your desk. Clear your desk at the end of each work day, leaving out only the materials you use on a daily basis. (Your phone, computer, lamp, writing implements, etc.) You'll feel much less overwhelmed when you sit at a clear desk every morning. I've totally missed it!

Have noticed this concert at early Mar-09. Unfortunately, all seats are not available anymore. It was hopeless even after couple of calls to S'pore for enquiries. Awefully sad that week...

Surprisingly, when i re-check the concert website today... they have actually added new show on 23-May-09 PM due to popular demand & ticket was open for online sales at mid of Mar-09. I completely missed it again! Oh GOSH! I feel like banging my head to the wall now.

Have finished a basic excel course at end of last year, 2008 and am now wonderin' what course to take for this year... Hmmm ~

Dictionary states that the word Persona itself means "mask" or "character".

Wait!! Do not freak out!! I'm not here to give some English vocabulary lecture. The Persona which I refer to is the Role-Playing Game Series from Japan being released in PS, PS2, PSP and so on.

This lad is Tatsuya, the only person that seems to remember the events from Innocent Sin. Being a fan of Nobuo Uematsu, I just can't not writing about him in my blog!

Name: Nobuo Uematsu (NB)
Born: 21-Mar-1959 @ Kochi, Japan
Occupation: Japanese Musician cum Composer

Joined Square (later known as Square Enix) in 1985/6 and left later in 2004 where he formed his own Company called Smile Please. He's a very respectful music composer in the Gaming Music Industry, especially the role-playing game (RPG) of Final Fantasy Game Series.

I would reckon few of his achievements in life are: -

Being a very successful composer for over thirty FF game titles & other gaming music.
(I understand from other website's source that he even composed music for Anime)
Officially a composer of Square in 1985, i.e.: at age of 26.
Formed the rock band, well-known as Black Mages in 2003 where Nobuo is the keyboardist.
Founded his own Company, Smile Please in 2004.
Created the music production Company called Dog Ear Records in 2006.
